Feeding
But how? Feed them physically? Spiritually?
Psychologically? Intellectually? Morally?
The answer was to be found in Manna, that strange heavenly food which we first read about in Exodus 16. It comes from the Hebrew “Man’hu” which means “what is it?”
In this strange substance, we sense something of signal importance – namely, that even as God sustains his people physically, his ultimate purpose is to sustain them spiritually.
The Soul Provider Trust was founded in 2008 and has always been focused on both spiritual and physical feeding.
Alongside email commentaries on scripture, podcasts, videos, live preaching in churches, marriages, baptisms and funerals, Brent has steadily grown the Soul Food project, which today manufactures its own highly nutritious food, providing, free of charge, 18,7 million meals a year, mainly to children in primary schools, creches and ECD centres all over South Africa.
This is an average of 72 000 meals a day.
It was recently decided to separate Spiritual Feeding and Physical Feeding activities in the Soul Provider Trust.
